By Door County Pulse, Peninsula Pulse — June 4th, 2026

Door County community ensemble the Peninsula Symphonic Band will play a lively mix of patriotic selections and beloved classics during a free morning concert on the Fourth of July.
The concert is set for Saturday, July 4, at 9:30 am at Martin Park, 207 S. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. This year’s performance carries special significance as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of its founding.
Donations are encouraged to support the band and its summer band camp scholarship program. This year, the Peninsula Symphonic Band awarded $1,500 in scholarships to six Door County student musicians, bringing the program’s total scholarship support to more than $8,000 since its inception.
For more than 35 years, the Peninsula Symphonic Band has performed throughout Door County, bringing together nearly 75 musicians ranging from high school students to seasoned professionals. The ensemble rehearses on Monday evenings at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. For more information, visit peninsulasymphonicband.org or contact peninsulasymphonicband@gmail.com.
