Peninsula Symphonic Band
Door County, Wisconsin

I began playing the flute when I was 12 years old, studying the cello, also. Gibratar High School band director, Herbert Hardt, Jr., proved very inspirational to me. I played with Robin Lange in high school and became a member of the UW Stevens Point Concert Band and Flute Choir. I studied flute privately with Paul Doebler for 4 years and have been a member of the Marshfield Symphony, the Santa Barbara City College Band, the Westmont College Band, as well as the Birch Creek Symphony. I am actually a charter member of the Peninsula Symphonic Band and even helped the first director, John Stangel, start the band, playing with it for 3 years. Then I took 17 years off to raise my daughter. Music is in my blood. I come from a family of musicians, and when I am not playing, I feel something is missing in my life. It truly makes me happy. I enjoy playing a variety of music and playing with others who share my passion. My other occupation: manager and innkeeper at White Gull Inn.
