Peninsula Symphonic Band
Door County, Wisconsin

I began my trumpeting as a freshman, age 13, at Algoma High Shcool under the instruction of band teacher Jim Abraham. For the past four years I've been playing in the Peninsula Symphonic Band, but I also perform with my hometown Algoma Community Band. My entire professional life has been devoted to education, first as a teacher at the Rosebud School near Slovan, Wisconsin, and then as an elementary school principal in Illinois and Wisconsin. Following so-called retirement, I ended up yet again not only teaching and administering but also remodeling, with the invaluable help of the local inhabitants, an old American Air Force dorm into a three-story elementary school on the atoll of Enewetak in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Second retirement--I moved back to my hometown where I pursue my love of the trumpet, both playing and collecting trumpets of all sorts.
