After moving to Door County in 2001, I heard about the Peninsula Symphonic Band through a teacher and became a part of the band in 7th grade. Ever since my first rehearsal, I was always eager to come every Monday for practice. Being a young kid and in a band of older people, I was nervous at first, but everyone in the band was unbelievably nice and welcoming. I became part of the PSB family.
As for my musical career. I started out playing the piano when I was eight years old. I then went on to play the clarinet like most eager elementary kids do, but then switched to the flute in 6th grade and have been playing ever since. Throughout my middle and high school career, I took private lessons with Kaye Wagner, managing director of Birch Creek in Egg Harbor. I attended Carpenter Elementary School and Emerson Middle School in Park Ridge, Illinois, and then moved to Door County and attend Sevastopol School from 7th-12th grade. I am now attending UW-Milwaukee and am planning to major in graphic arts, with a minor in business.
I love the band and am eager to participate in any concert I can now being in college.
